About Us
Sirens of Sparta is a Recognized Student Organization at San José State University and a competitive dance team under the advisement of the Club Sports Administration. The Team is primarily jazz-based and performs in a variety of commercial styles including hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary.
Members create a positive representation of San José State University, gain choreographic and technical skills, understanding of what it means to be a positive and respectful team member, achieve networking opportunities, and a sense of community through the competitive dance world, the campus, and within the organization.
The Team has performed at many events on campus such as Men’s and Women’s Basketball games, Fire on the Fountain, Spartans Best Dance Crew - Delta Sigma Phi's philanthropy competition, Club Sports Awards, and more.
The Sirens of Sparta will also be attending and competing at Collegiate Nationals in February. Be on the lookout for upcoming events and auditions on our official Instagram, @sirensofsparta. Auditions will be held at the end of each spring semester.
